We're Still Married!

This weekend we went ahead and picked up the crib and dresser that we had ordered from Baby Depot. The original plan was to wait until everyone had come down at the end of September to put it together but we decided since it was a long weekend that we should go ahead and do it. Special thanks to Mike Larsen for coming out to Baby Depot at the drop of a hat so that we could load the dresser and crib into his SUV.

Whenever we put stuff together or we hang stuff it's always an adventure that seems to make us stronger in the end but it surely doesn't seem like it during the process. When it comes to hanging anything Allison typically handles that as it can be a one person job. Sometimes we can get something that can easily be put together and I will just do it myself. This was a task that required both of us. It seemed at times we were heading for divorce, but we survived. I do know this, this baby better appreciate what we did for her. She isn't even born yet and she already has nice furniture that Mom and Dad so kindly put together for her (side note: I always find it humorous on baby furniture that the warnings include "Adult Assembly Required", I'm glad they put that on there, I was going to make the baby put it together). We also came to the realization that whoever created the Allan Wrench should be shot, I think I have successfully tore all the skin off of my thumbs, I think a simple screwdriver would suffice.

We also had our next doctors appointment this week and everything went well. We have the next two doctors appointments already schedule then it is on to appointments every 2 weeks. The doctor did say she would guess there were two babies based off of how Allison is carrying the baby, but the sonogram says otherwise. The heart rate was in the 150's and the doctor said it was because she was doing a lot of moving around when she was checking the heart rate.

We made the trek back to Manhattan this weekend and it is always great to get back. We love it in Manhattan and it's good to see people we went to school with when we get back. A couple of friends moved their seats this year and sit one row and two seats over from us, so it should be a fun season with them sitting close to us. Unfortunately we will miss this weeks game for the annual Hermes sales dinner, luckily it should be a no contest by about halftime.

Frankie was a critical part of putting the furniture together, although, not as helpful as she seemed to think.

Rocco is amazed at our ability to put together furniture as a couple.

Who thought an Allan Wrench was a good idea? Give me a screwdriver!

The finished product.

A woman on a mission. This is a pic of Brynn when she came to visit Aunt Allison and Uncle Kyle and went to the JoCo Fair with us.
