Now The Wait

Well, at least we go to the doctor on Wednesday so it is always exciting to get another update from the doctor and to see that everything is going as planned. The baby is the size (length anyways) of a cantaloupe this week.

We had a relatively uneventful weekend which is nice knowing that the rest of this year is pretty much booked up. Allison had to work Saturday so she spent most of the day down at the Nursery so I had some friends over to watch the amazing Kansas City Chiefs preseason game so I can get excited for the season, only they lost 24-0. It turned out August was going to be in town so he joined us as well and proceeded to dismantle our dryer, luckily, it was intentional. A couple of weeks ago the belt broke and the good news is it will be about $15 and a dinner to August to fix it. Hopefully that will happen this weekend. This weekend we begin our weekly (roughly) trips to Manhattan for Kansas State football. This is always an exciting time for me and I think Allison gets pretty excited to make the trip back to Manhattan. My excitement continues through the Super Bowl, unfortunately, that is not the case for Allison. I can get away with a lot of football for a couple of months then I have to start cutting back a little.

In the next couple of weeks we go to pick up the crib and dresser. It will sit in the nursery for a few weeks until we can take down the guest bed. We are having friends up/down for a Man Shower on the 20th, which is a non-KSU football weekend. It should be fun a chance for me to see a lot of my old college buddies and go play golf with them and most likely go to a sports bar and watch football. Once we have that we will begin to take down the guest bed and officially turn it into a nursery. One piece of furniture that we have been unsuccessful with so far has been a bookcase. If anyone has any good recommendations for a bookcase that can fit in about a 5' space and isn't easy to knock over, point us in the right direction.

Hope everyone has a good week and safe Labor Day weekend.

Go Cats!!!
