A Special Welcome

Our good friends Justin and Leslie Turner had their baby boy, Benjamin, last Monday, he came in weighing close to Abigail at 8 lbs. 9 oz. (Abigail was 8 lbs. 12 oz.) and length at 20 inches (Abigail was 19.5) but you better be prepared if you plan on taking on the Lewis head, Abigail had Ben by a good 2 inches. Leslie is home and well and Ben is adjusting to Minnesota life. Abigail wanted to make sure that Ben got a special spot on the blog tonight and she can hardly wait to meet him (which might be a while, but we'll get it taken care of). Here are a few pics of Ben. Congrats again Justin and Leslie!

For Memorial Day Weekend we were able to lay low for a change and enjoy having nothing to do. The weekend before that we went to Lori's and Abigail got her first opportunity to ride a horse.

Mother's Day

A little late on this, but for Mother's Day we went to JC Penney to have portraits taken since we hadn't had a chance to do that yet. Abigail did a great job and was pretty much all smiles but she did have to be coerced sometimes. After JC Penney we went to Cinzetti's for lunch because Martha's, who watches Abigail, husband works there gave us coupons for free meals. Once we finally got home we planted our garden, although it's pretty bare right now with, two tomato plants, a jalapeno plant and a grapevine.

Monday Abigail wen to the doctor and everything turned out great (minus the 4 shots she got). She is 14 lbs 1.6 oz, 24" and in true Lewis fashion has a head in the 82nd percentile, although I don't think she has cousin Brynn beat, but you always need to have goals. Time to Catch Up

Well, it's been so long since we last posted that Abigail heads off to college in the fall and no surprise, she decided to go to Kansas State. Ok, maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration, but there are expectations in the Lewis house when it comes to college choice. :)
