'Tis The Season?

Last night Allison and I went to the Annual Hermes Sales Dinner, which always seems to be a good time despite the fact that we had to miss a KSU game, but it doesn't sound like we missed much. Allison was recognized as a "sales hero" by the owner of the company, Dalton Hermes. He really didn't have enough kind things to say about her and what she has done for the company, which was nice to hear. She has hit the first sales bonus for this year and as long as the billings go the way they should, she will hit the second mark as well. For the first bonus she received a bonus and then a selection of prizes provided by the Hermes company, so it was fun to see her get recognized in front of everyone. Dalton also pointed out that currently, 6 people are expecting at Hermes, there must be something in the water.

Along with the dinner and recognition of accomplishments they always have a few competitions, volleyball and basketball were originally part of the games last night, but the rain forced those to be cancelled. The usual pool, foosball and ping pong were on the list last night as well as a trivia competition. Allison and I teamed up for pool and won our only match staking claim to the table, unfortunately, nobody wanted to challenge us, for tying the number of wins on the table we each received a gold medal, down home Olympics was the theme, and $25 gift certificates to the Plaza. The trivia was a silent trivia competition writing down your answers and turning them in. Allison handled the 5 Hermes questions, while I took the Olympics questions. We missed one question only because I misread the final question as how many GOLD medals has Michael Phelps won, not as how many TOTAL medals has Michael Phelps won. Luckily, the missed question didn't hurt us and Allison pulled in another $25 gift certificate to the Plaza.

As of the middle of August we were already getting questions about our Christmas List for the year, when it's hot outside it's hard to think about what you will need in 4 months. One thing we knew was on the list is that Baby Lewis gets a stocking made from Great Grandma Mulligan. We finally stopped slacking and decided on her future stocking. She likely won't get to enjoy it until next year, but who knows what might happen. Now we just need to figure out what it is that we need.

Baby Lewis's first Christmas gift! Do you think she will enjoy it?

Congratulations Allison I knew you would do well and it sounds like you both had a successful evening. I really like the stocking and the name on it!

Wow Allison, you're my hero! We all know how hard you work and it's nice to get some recognition in front of your peers. I have to say that I'm with Grandma B and like the name on the stocking as well.

I like the stocking with the name "Abigail". A good choice. Grandma Mulligan will be able to actually put a name on the stocking now! Allison, congratualtions on the accolades from Dalton! You are obviously doing a great job, but it is still nice to know your hard work is appreciated.
Love, Mom (Grandma Lewis)
