Tuesday night we took the dogs for a walk which we typically do when it's nice out and they have been especially rambunctious lately on their walks and when they get home, they always head straight outside to bark at the other dogs. Once they got in and settled down Rocco started to do his usual and try to hide his rawhide treat. While we were eating he emerged from upstairs and Allison noticed that he had a cut on his back. It wasn't an ordinary cut that would heal over a few days, the length of the cut was about the length from the tip of a finger to the first knuckle and it was pretty deep. We did the standard procedure, which is call Dr. Lewis so she can tell us what we should do. She said since he didn't appear to be in pain to bring him in to the clinic in the morning. Wednesday morning he got an unexpected trip to see her which he isn't fond of. When he got to the clinic he was excited to see Brooke but didn't want to go see her. She gave him three stitches and since the Italian Greyhounds have long noses, but small heads he can't wear a cone that will fit him, so he got a t-shirt gauze. So far, he has been less than impressed with the gauze and is trying to nibble it off, but it has to stay on for 10 to 14 days. Last night he was very itchy and tried to work the sympathy as much as possible. Without further ado, here is how our boy looks now.

Marcus being Marcus

I'm so embarrassed, look at my droopy ears.

I can't even look at the camera, stop taking pictures.

Marcus is a good friend, always there when you need him.
